This Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause training is for anyone interested in the transitional time of perimenopause and menopause and aims to deepen your knowledge of this period by giving a yogic and scientific perspective alongside practical ways to manage the transition into midlife with yoga.
The two days are taught and presented by Sally Parkes BSc with additional talks by expert guest speaker Rachel Boon BSc, a naturopath and herbalist specialising in women’s health. This Menoyoga® teacher training focuses on the anatomy and physiology of the perimenopausal and menopausal woman and is particularly helpful for yoga teachers wanting to tailor their offerings in this field, as well as anyone with a sound knowledge and experience of yoga and an interest in the menopause.
On this training, we will cover how menopause affects: bone health, body composition, body mass index, collagen production, the nervous system, the production of hormones, as well as information on how to support the body with nutrition and lifestyle.
You do not have to be a yoga teacher to attend this training; the training is open to all yoga practioners, regardless of gender, all you need is a foundational understanding of yoga and a keen interest in this subject.
If you are a yoga teacher, this training will enable you to register 30 hours of learning with Yoga Alliance (US) or Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK). These 30 hours are made up of live online training hours, studying pre-recorded material and completing coursework.

About the training:
Sally’s trainings are unique in that she shares her extensive knowledge in anatomy and physiology, whilst weaving in all elements of the yoga tradition in order to empower her teacher training students to be able to practice and deliver safe, effective and nurturing classes.
The content of this course will be split into approximately 60% theory and 40% practical work. You will also be expected to complete some coursework following the training before being issued your certificate.
As part of the training, you will receive:
- Pre-recorded classes for you to download and keep
- A training manual and certificate in PDF format sent via email
- A logo from Sally Parkes Yoga stating you are a Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause Teacher, for you to use on social media and other marketing platforms
- Ongoing support via a WhatsApp group and our private Facebook group
- Following the training, graduates of our Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause Teacher training have the opportunity to join our referral reward scheme, and earn cash rewards for referring new students to our trainings (t’s & c’s apply).
After this training you will be able to:
- Understand the physiology of the perimenopausal and menopausal woman and understand how to adapt their yoga practice to keep their bodies safe and strong.
- Understand how a woman can support her own hormonal health during midlife and beyond. H*T will also be discussed.
- Deliver bespoke, small classes and one to one Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause sessions that cater for women in the perimenopause and menopause.

About Sally Parkes – Course Founder & Leader
Sally Parkes BSc is a senior yoga teacher and author, with over 27 years of experience teaching women from all walks of life. Sally, a published author and sports scientist. began her yoga teacher training school in 2010, with Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause in 2022, and has developed an active community which celebrates and educates students on menopause and perimenopause. She is currently studying her Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology where she is focusing on how to improve cardiac health amongst menopausal women.
Known for her informative and inclusive trainings as well as her warmth and humour, Sally is looking forward to welcoming more wonderful yoga students to her research-based Menoyoga® Yoga for Menopause Teacher Training.
About Rachel Boon – Naturopath, Herbalist & Womens Health Specialist
Rachel is a women’s health specialist Naturopath and Herbalist with over 19 years experience both in her face-to-face clinics and virtually. With a human biology degree and herbal medicine and naturopathy qualifications from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, Rachel is able to disseminate complicated medical information and make it accessible, engaging and fun for her support group, day retreat, corporate workshop or podcast listeners.
Rachel’s passion lies in supporting women during times of hormonal transition, such as puberty and perimenopause, where she aims to educate and empower women to be warriors for their own health, moving towards gentler monthly cycles and a kinder menopause transition overall.
Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice and public speaking roles. She served as the lead clinician on a popular juice, detox and yoga retreat, regularly guest teaches on yoga teacher training courses, is an experienced clinical supervisor and has been involved in new product development for several botanical drinks companies. As of July 2024, she is also the new Chair of her professional association, the Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners.
Booking Terms and Conditions
This training is being organised through yogaloft, Luxembourg and all payments and bookings are being dealt with by yogaloft. . This training reserves the right to cancel if minimum numbers are not met.

Participant: the person who attends or wishes to attend a Yoga Class, Workshop/Event/Course, Retreat, Teacher Training or Appointment.
Yoga Session: Any regular studio class (including outdoor and online), Workshops/Events/Courses.
Teacher: the yoga teacher who has been appointed by yogaloft. Luxembourg to teach Yoga Classes, Workshops/Events/Courses, Retreats or Teacher Trainings at yogaloft. Luxembourg or a therapist who has been appointed by yogaloft. Luxembourg to provide Appointments
Appointment: Any service booked in SANCTUARY Wellness by YL or Private Yoga session.

2. Scope of Application The General Terms and Conditions apply to any class packages, memberships or drop-ins (single classes) as well as to all yogaloft. Luxembourg Yoga Sessions, Retreats, Teacher Trainings and Appointments in SACNTUARY Wellness by YL. yogaloft. Luxembourg may from time to time amend these General Terms and Conditions. The most recent version of the Terms and Conditions is always the version that is applicable and is always available on the Website.
3. Payment and Price Changes All Yoga Sessions, Retreats, Teacher Trainings and Appointments organized by yogaloft. Luxembourg must be paid, in advance, before they are held. Cash is not accepted at the studios. All payments shall be made via the online Booking System, at the payment terminal in studio with the Teacher or in advance by bank transfer accompanied by a receipt of transfer emailed to hello@yogaloft.lu yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to change prices at any time. Any changes are announced through the Booking System Before a Yoga Session, Workshop/Event/Course, Retreat, Teacher Training or Appointment the Participant must report to the Teacher to verify their registration and payment.
4. Cash Payments Cash is not accepted at the studios.
5. Reservations and Bookings All Yoga Sessions, Workshops/Events/Courses, Retreats, Teacher Trainings or Appointments must be booked online in advance and paid in full before taking place. Bookings may be made in person at the reception, but not by email or phone. If booking online is no longer possible for Yoga Sessions, you may still come to the studio and see if there are walk-in spots available on a first come first served basis. The walk-in spot will be paid for with the Teacher at the studio or a class will be deducted from any existing class package or membership prior to the start of the Yoga Session.
6. Schedule The current schedule can be found on the Website. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to change the schedule at any time. If possible, any changes are announced in advance. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel any Yoga Session that has been scheduled, in this case the credit can be used to book another Yoga Session in the future (within the validity of the package or membership and within maximum one year). yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to change the yoga Teacher mentioned in the schedule in the event of force majeure, including illness or absence of the Teacher without any prior notice to the Participant. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel a scheduled Yoga Session at any time in the event of force majeure (including illness or absence of the relevant Teacher).
7. Cancellation Policy Yoga Sessions: Any cancellation made less than 6 hours before the scheduled start time of the Yoga Session will not be eligible for reimbursement. Unlimited package holders will be subject to a €15 late cancellation/no show fee. Cancellations must be made through our online Booking System. No-Show Policy: If you do not show up for a booked Yoga Session without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show, and no reimbursement or credit will be provided. Unlimited package holders will be subject to a €15 late cancellation/no show fee. Workshops/Events/Courses: Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the Workshop/Event/Course will not be eligible for reimbursement. If you do not show up for a booked Workshop/Event/Course without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show, and no reimbursement or credit will be provided. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel a scheduled Workshop/Event/Course at any time in the event of force majeure (including illness or absence of the relevant Teacher). In this case, the registration fee already paid is refunded as money credits on our Booking System. Appointments: Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the Appointment will not be eligible for reimbursement. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel a scheduled Appointment at any time in the event of force majeure (including illness or absence of the relevant Teacher). Retreats: Any participation in a scheduled Retreat may be cancelled only in writing. This can be done by sending an email to hello@yogaloft.lu. The Retreat Participant may cancel his or her registration free of charge until 60 days before the scheduled Retreat. Within 60 days before the scheduled Retreat, the Participant may cancel his or her registration, in which case 50% of the price is charged. If it turns out at the location of the Retreat that the Participant cannot participate for whatever reason, the Price already paid is not refunded. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel the Retreat for any reason.
Teacher Training: Full payment is required to secure your place. Payments are due in full by the early registration date to receive the discounted “early bird” rate. If you cancel 60 days or more before the start of the training, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 2 months of the start of the training, you will forfeit €500 of your full payment and the remaining balance will be refunded. This €500 is non- refundable and non-transferable. Once the training begins the full tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable and you must attend part 1 and part 2 of the training in the same year (365 days). yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to cancel the Teacher Training for any reason.
8. Late Arrivals and Door Lock Policy The studio door will be locked at the scheduled start time of the class. Late arrivals after the door is locked will be considered as no-shows. To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before the class begins. No reimbursement or credit will be provided for no-shows in the case of late arrival and unlimited package holders will be subject to a €15 late cancellation/no show fee.
9. Gift Cards Gift cards and e-gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Any unused balance after the expiration date will not be refunded, and the card will be invalidated. Gift cards and e-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to refuse any gift card or e-gift card that appears tampered with, duplicated, or otherwise suspected of fraud.
10. Liability By reserving a Yoga Session or Appointment you confirm you have read and accepted the following terms: 1. Accurate Information: • You confirm the information provided by you is accurate. 2. Acknowledgement of Risks: • You understand that yoga involves physical activity, including partner/group poses, which may carry inherent risks. 3. Medical Responsibility: • You agree to consult a physician if necessary to assess your fitness level for yoga and accept full responsibility for this decision and agree to update yogaloft. about any changes in health or medical conditions before any Yoga Session or Appointment. 4. Assumption of Risk: • You assume all risks, injuries, or damages you may incur during the program, including while using yogaloft. equipment. 5. Liability Waiver: • You release yogaloft. Luxembourg, its Teachers, and volunteers from any claims or liabilities arising from participation, including injuries, loss of property, or negligence. This also applies to classes held off-premises.
11. Cameras While cameras are in use in our common areas (not in yoga rooms), yogaloft. Luxembourg accepts no liability whatsoever for loss of forgotten items or theft of personal belongings.
12. Code of Conduct/Rules Participant shall adhere to yogaloft. Luxembourg’s code of conduct/rules at all times: Cell phones must be silenced during the yoga class and the use of phones in the yoga rooms is highly discouraged. Please do not wear shoes in the yoga studio. Wear comfortable clothes in yoga classes, in which you can move easily. Yoga mats and towels are available for rent. The physical and mental integrity of Participants must always be respected. Sexual behavior or sexually suggestive behavior or any form of harassment is not tolerated by yogaloft. Luxembourg. Refrain from attending a yoga class while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs/alcohol or you will be asked to leave and come back another time. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to deny Participants access to the yogaloft. Luxembourg premises for any reason. Teachers maintain the right to deny Participants access to Yoga Sessions and Appointments at their discretion which may result in non-refundable fees. yogaloft. Luxembourg reserves the right to terminate any packages without refunding of paid fees of any Participant at the discretion of the owners yogaloft. 13. Illness, Injury or pregnancy. In the event of prolonged illness, pregnancy or an injury, while refunds will not be issued for any reason, the Participant may prolong the expiration date of their class package or freeze an unlimited membership at the discretion of yogaloft. Luxembourg. A request for a prolonged expiration date or freezing of membership (for a maximum of one year) must be submitted to yogaloft. Luxembourg in writing by email to hello@yogaloft.lu accompanied by a medical certificate.
14. Children under the age of 18. By reserving a spot for your child (using your account or one in your child’s name), you confirm you have read and accepted the following terms as the Parent/Legal Guardian: 1. Accurate Information: • You confirm the information provided about your child is accurate and that you have full legal rights to enroll them in Yoga Sessions at yogaloft. Luxembourg. 2. Acknowledgement of Risks: • You understand that yoga involves physical activity, including partner/group poses and games, which may carry inherent risks. 3. Medical Responsibility: • You agree to consult a physician if necessary to assess your child’s fitness for yoga and accept full responsibility for this decision. 4. Assumption of Risk: • You assume all risks, injuries, or damages your child may incur during the program, including while using yogaloft equipment. 5. Liability Waiver: • You release yogaloft. Luxembourg, its Teachers, and volunteers from any claims or liabilities arising from participation, including injuries, loss of property, or negligence.
